Whether you are thinking about an engagement ring or a piece to mark a special occasion or show your unique style, Amy’s ability to connect with each of her clients ensures you come away with a stunning custom creation that tells your story and will be cherished for years to come.
Common Questions.
How long does a custom design usually take?
As each piece is entirely handcrafted by Amy, the time and thought involved in making a custom piece is significant. Allow at least 6 – 8 weeks for completion, however, depending on the design and materials some pieces can be finished sooner.
What is the process like?
If you are interested in having something custom made, please email Amy with your ideas and any examples of her work that you like. Include your preference of metal and gemstones, or a preferred colour palette. Amy has a certain style and aesthetic that is evident in her jewellery, therefore it is imperative that the custom design be in the style of jewellery that Amy creates. After the initial email, Amy will work with you to finalise the design through her sketches and previous examples of her work, and then provide a quote. This can be done via email or an in-studio appointment. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin the custom order, with the remainder due upon completion.
Can you remodel my old jewellery?
Amy is no longer taking on any remodelling projects.
Can you use my gold and gemstones?
No, Amy is no longer taking on commissions to rework existing gold and gemstones.
Does Amy Bixby Jewellery do repair work?
No, Amy does not do general repair work. However, if it is a piece of Amy Bixby Jewellery that needs adjusting or repaired, Amy will happily fix any issue.
