Truly unique jewellery ~ hand forged with love
and precision
in Wanaka, New Zealand

Growing up on a sheep station in Central Otago, New Zealand helped shape Amy's appreciation for the handmade. The do-it-yourself mentality was instilled in her from a young age and the farm provided plenty of opportunities to potter about creating and exploring.  Her Dad’s work shed was full of intriguing bits and pieces, hammers and wrenches lined the walls and bench tops and this is where Amy's fascination for hand tools was born.
In High School, Amy spent most of Physics class making rings and earrings out of resisters, so when she began her BFA at Dunedin School of Art she instantly fell in love with metalsmithing.

"There's nothing like hammering a piece of precious metal into something you can wear - forever!  Nowadays there's an abundance of technology, machines manufacture objects faster, for less money and in mass quantities. However, I believe there is so much value in crafting an object entirely by hand, knowing it won't be reproduced in an exact likeness, retaining that personal connection to its maker, and knowing that it will last lifetimes. I personally hand forge all my jewellery from start to finish, ensuring each piece is truly unique. And although my jewellery embodies the authenticity of being handmade, it's also refined and accurately crafted to the highest quality. Custom work for all occasions, including engagement and wedding rings, are my passion. The connections with each customer and the lasting relationships that often develop as a result, are the highlights for me.  My job is all about creating pieces that truly resonate with my customers as connections and experiences is what life is really all about"

After spending 11 incredible years in the U.S, Amy moved back to Central Otago with her husband and their two "Amerikiwi" kids. Amy now works out of her custom-built gallery workshop on their property close to Mt. Iron in Wanaka.  She is available via appointment in studio, or email, message, zoom or call to answer any of your questions and discuss your custom ideas.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch, whether you would like to book an appointment at my studio in Wanaka, or have any questions about the materials or custom design process I would love to hear from you. I'm in my studio Mon, Wed, Thur and Fri, and by appointment on Saturday.  Looking forward to hearing from you ~ Amy.
